Clear, practical guides for writing, compiling, and sharing LaTeX and Typst projects.
Get started
Create a project, compile it, and share it — the whole loop in a few minutes.
Create a project
A project is one workspace holding your source files, its settings, and the compiled PDF.
How to do it
- Open Projects and choose New project, then start blank or pick a template and give it a clear name. A blank project is LaTeX or Typst: pick one with the two options on the blank project card.
- Browse the Templates library when you want a full starting point — articles, theses, presentations and CVs.
- Already have work elsewhere? Import from files accepts several archives at once, up to 100 MB each.
- Star the projects you return to, and use Collections to group them; both are personal to you.
Write and compile
The editor, the PDF and the compile log live side by side, so a build never leaves the page.
How to do it
- Open the root file from the Explorer and start writing; changes are saved continuously, there is no Save button.
- Compile to build the PDF, then keep the preview open beside your source.
- Check the Problems tab for errors and warnings, and jump from a message straight to the line that caused it.
- Use sync to move between the two views: from the cursor to the PDF, and from a click in the PDF back to the source.
CtrlS or CtrlEnter compiles; CtrlJ jumps from the cursor to the matching place in the PDF.
Share your work
A project can be opened by collaborators, exported as files, or published as a template for everyone.
How to do it
- Open Share, invite people by email, and choose Can edit, Can comment, or Can view for each of them.
- Prefer a link? Under Share links choose Create link, let it expire in 7 or 30 days if you like, and Revoke it when it is no longer needed.
- To hand a project over, use Make owner on an existing member; you stay on as an editor.
- Everyone edits the same document at once; the history keeps automatic snapshots you can restore.
- From a project's menu on the Projects page choose Download, then PDF or Project (.zip).
- When an owned project compiles cleanly, publish it as a template; republish whenever the public snapshot should change.
